Alpha Zeta Chapter established the Myrtle Tyler Faithful Fund (MTFF), Inc. in 1984 to honor Soror Myrtle Tyler Faithful, one of the five founders of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. This followed the observance of her 82nd Appreciation Birthday Banquet held in 1983. The Fund was incorporated as a 501(c)(3)to:
Award Scholarship grants to worthy students for the pursuit of higher education Conduct community education programs which aid in the education and vocational improvement of individual and community living standards Engage in charitable activities for the improvement of life in the Baltimore Community Engage in any appropriate research related to the purpose of the fund.
Through the support of the school systems, institutions of higher education and the community, scholarships are awarded annually to college bound high school students and former Fund recipients for the continuation of their educational pursuits.
An Advisory Council/Board was established to assist the Fund with promotion and accomplishment of fund objectives.
